INTERNET DANGERS
This artifact is a slideshow about the Dangers that lurk on the internet. It takes you through different things that you might in counter or things that might happen to you on the internet. I made this artifact by using the Google Slides application. I added different colors and word art and some pictures also from google. I would use this slideshow in my classroom to inform my students on the dangers they might encounter while using the internet. Since with history a lot of your time is spent researching, which can now mostly be done in the internet. It could simply take you miss spelling one word and you could be lead to the wrong and dangerous website for young children to be on. With this slideshow I promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology information.
NETIQUETTE
This artifact is a cartoon about Netiquette. Netiquette is short for Internet Etiquette. Netiquette is simple rules and guidelines to follow while using the internet. The cartoon goes through different rules of Netiquette I would set up in my classroom for my students. I created it using the powtoon website, that lets you create cartoons, slideshows or presentations for school or work. I used creative texts, bright colors and animations to keep the kids interested. I would use this cartoon in my classroom to show my students some rules and guidelines they should use while using the internet. This cartoon advocates, models and teaches safe, legal and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for others, copyright, intellectual property and appropriate documentation of sources.
ONLINE GAMES RESOURCE LIST
This artifact is an online games resource list. It lists ten different online educational games that could be used in classrooms today for students of all grades and levels. The ones on this list are predominantly history games for a social studies or history classroom. The list is complete with direct links to the websites where the games can be found and the names of those websites. Also in the list is a short description of the game and what it can be used for. I created it by going to different educational gaming websites and searching for games that could be useful in my future history classroom. Some that can be used as lessons, some that can be used for reviews for a test or quiz and some that can be used for fun just to keep the students interested in the subject and topic we are learning about. I could use a project like this in my future career and classroom by keeping my online resources organized to be easily accessed to be able to inform students of them. By creating this list address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources.
